About Sand Shack
Sand Shack is an environmentally friendly company dedicated to the conservation of our world’s oceans and beaches. They design, manufacture, and sell apparel and accessories to stores across the United States. 5% of all company proceeds are donated to ocean conservation efforts.
Projects:
Social Media Interns were involved with developing a social media campaign for Sand Shack in order to boost website traffic and increase brand visibility. Sand Shack interns wrote and promoted three blogs under the Sand Shack brand. These blogs are not openly associated with the company, but indirectly promote the brand and allow the company to create avid followers online. These websites are Stop Shark Finning, Stop Overfishing, and Save our Coral Reefs. In addition to these blogs, Social Media Interns worked on online social networking, and helped Sand Shack connect with bloggers in the ocean conservation field. Finally, these interns also worked on developing and maintaining a Twitter account for Sand Shack’s ocean conservation blogs.
The Gift Card Interns worked on developing a gift card program for Sand Shack. The interns were instrumental in developing the program and finding unique channels to sell the gift cards through. Currently, gift cards are being sold online and through student run environmental groups in colleges an high schools.
