I have OCD… There, I said it. It’s not self diagnosed though. I’ve been told by almost everyone I know that I have a slight problem. Ask Arne what I’m doing at home any night or weekend. He’ll tell you that at some point or another, I’m cleaning or at least straightening up. It’s quite likely, though, that I’m also watching Clean House on TLC. On that show a team goes into a house, cleans out all of the junk, sells it at a garage sale and whatever doesn’t sell is donated to charity.

My little OCD problem and an inkling to plan events spurred an interesting idea based on the Clean House show. We’re asking students and professors to donate their junk to us. We’ll turn around and sell it at our “Non-Garage Sale” and donate whatever items don’t sell. A portion of the proceeds will go towards relief funds for Haiti and the Philippines. So, if you have items that are not worth your time selling on eBay, Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace, please donate them to ESA for our “Non-Garage Sale”. Items can range from books, toys, cds, small appliances, clothes and so on. Please contact Arne (arne.morin@temple.edu) or Brittany (brittany.julian@temple.edu) if you have any questions or would like to make donations.
