ILM Live Silkscreening is holding their second silkscreening event in conjunction with the ESA. They will be printing t-shirts and tote bags on the spot, in Alter Hall, on Friday, February 26th. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Chris Pavlides Scholarship Fund to benefit needy students. 16 owl inspired designs have made it into the finals. They are calling on the public to help decide which four designs will be printed on the day of the event. A voting table will be set up in Alter Hall atrium on Friday, February 19 from noon till 5pm. Voting is quick and simple, and everyone who votes gets entered into a raffle to win a free t-shirt at the event. Please stop by to check out the designs and let us know which four designs are your favorite!

Calling All Entrepreneurs
Feb 17
Any old day of the week you can walk through Alter Hall and buy some random SPO’s baked goods. I’m not saying that ESA hasn’t done its fair share of bake sales, but we are certainly trying to stand out now. After all, we are aspiring entrepreneurs right!?! We don’t do things the same way as everyone else.
Instead of selling baked goods every week, I want to start selling entrepreneurs’ products! If you or a friend have a business and a product that we can sell at our ESA table, let us know. We’d be happy to help you sell your product and only ask for 10% of the profits from that day’s sales! All you have to do is contact Arne (arne.morin@temple.edu) or Brittany (Brittany.julian@temple.edu) to book a date to use our ESA table. We already have a few ambitious businesspersons signed up so book soon!
Non-Garage Sale
Feb 17

I have OCD… There, I said it. It’s not self diagnosed though. I’ve been told by almost everyone I know that I have a slight problem. Ask Arne what I’m doing at home any night or weekend. He’ll tell you that at some point or another, I’m cleaning or at least straightening up. It’s quite likely, though, that I’m also watching Clean House on TLC. On that show a team goes into a house, cleans out all of the junk, sells it at a garage sale and whatever doesn’t sell is donated to charity.
My little OCD problem and an inkling to plan events spurred an interesting idea based on the Clean House show. We’re asking students and professors to donate their junk to us. We’ll turn around and sell it at our “Non-Garage Sale” and donate whatever items don’t sell. A portion of the proceeds will go towards relief funds for Haiti and the Philippines. So, if you have items that are not worth your time selling on eBay, Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace, please donate them to ESA for our “Non-Garage Sale”. Items can range from books, toys, cds, small appliances, clothes and so on. Please contact Arne (arne.morin@temple.edu) or Brittany (brittany.julian@temple.edu) if you have any questions or would like to make donations.
